Our group decided to create a t-shirt and hat product for the merchandise of our band, we decided this because these products are the most common clothing for a boy band.
This is an idea of how our name would look if we had it printed onto t-shirts. We would have the font of our logo on the shirt for the real version. A way to progress this piece of advertisement would be to do different images on the shirts. For example, we could have a band image on the front. Or have individual band members on the front.
Other forms of advertisement could include posters, with similar styles that are on the the t-shirts. We could aslo look at doing stationary for those teens who are still in school. Bags would also be a good form of advertisement. These are all good for our target audience because these are all things that teenagers have at that age.

Production Plan

Before we start filming we will need to verify some things and also finalise them.

- We need to add our photos of our location that we are shooting at

- We need to make sure we have our costumes for shooting

- Photos of our cast and what their role is within the video

- Check the weather for the dates we will be filming

- Get to grips with how we are editing

Analysis Of Videos Of Our Chosen Brief (Codes & Conventions)

Music videos that have the same codes and conventions as our brief for the 'Boyz 4 Now' music video 'It's Gonna Be Me':

Take That - It Only Takes A Minute:

Backstreet Boys - Everybody (Backstreet's Back):

N Sync - Bye Bye Bye:

Throughout the music videos we can see the bands are doing dance routines which we would apply to our music video so that we keep to the key concepts of a pop boy band music video.
In the videos above we can see that each band member has a different image which is shown through either what they might be wearing differently or how they act in the video. In 'It Only Takes A Minute' by Take That, we can see that when the shot is of the boxing ring with the band. In the front are Gary and Robbie singing the song with Mark, Jason and Howard in the background, this would be a signifying shot of that Gary and Robbie are the more serious members of the band because they are not dancing around like the others.
Although the band members may all have a different image to each other they all still have the same dress sense as each other so that they still fit into the pop boy band stereotype category.

We will try to use these aspects of pop boy bands in our music video so they we can also fit the image of pop boy bands.
